2. Tatūnga me te Runanga
Your ENGWE T14 electric bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the setup:
- Wewete pouaka: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all included components such as the kickstand, mudguard, bell, and tool kit are present.
- Te Whakatuwhera i te Pahikara:
- Locate the main frame hinge and release the safety latch.
- Unfold the frame until it locks into place. Secure the safety latch.
- Adjust the handlebar stem to the upright position and secure its latch.
- Adjust the seat post height to a comfortable riding position and tighten the quick-release clamp.
- Tāutanga Pedal: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread them into the crank arms by hand, then tighten securely with the provided tool. Note that the left pedal threads counter-clockwise.
- Utu Pūhiko Tuatahi: Before first use, fully charge the 48V 10Ah lithium battery. Connect the charger to the bike's charging port and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will change when fully charged.

3. Operating Your Ebike
The ENGWE T14 offers versatile riding experiences with its multiple modes and intuitive controls.
3.1 Aratau Whakaeke
- Aratau Hiko Parakore: Engage the throttle for motor-only propulsion (0% - 99% power output). Ideal for effortless cruising.
- Pedal Assist Mode (Auxiliary): The motor provides assistance as you pedal (0% - 50% power). This mode extends range and reduces effort.
- Fitness Riding Mode: The motor is off, and you pedal the bike like a traditional bicycle.
3.2 Mana me te Whakaatu
Familiarize yourself with the handlebar controls and the LCD display.
- Whakaaturanga LCD: Shows current battery level, speed, and riding mode. Monitor your battery to avoid range anxiety.
- Puta: Located on the handlebar, controls the speed in pure electric mode.
- Taumata Parai: Operate the front and rear disc brakes for effective stopping.
- Maama: Activate the high-bright headlight for improved visibility during low-light conditions.
