3. Tatūnga me te Whakamahi Tuatahi
Te Wetewete me te horoi tuatahi:
- Kia ata tangohia nga waahanga katoa mai i te kete.
- Wash all removable parts (bowls, attachments, blender jug, grater drums, meat grinder components) in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before first use. The main motor unit should only be wiped with a damp kakahu.
- Place the main unit on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Ensure the non-slip feet are firmly gripping the countertop.

Assembling for Use:
- Te taapiri i te Peera Whakaranu: Place a 5.5L stainless steel bowl onto the base of the main unit and twist clockwise until it locks into place.
- Lifting the Swivel Arm: Press the release button (usually located on the side or back of the head) and lift the swivel arm upwards until it locks into the tilted position.
- Attaching Mixing Tools (Kneading Hook, Beater, Whisk): Insert the desired mixing tool into the attachment shaft on the underside of the swivel arm. Push upwards and twist until it clicks securely into place.
- Lowering the Swivel Arm: Press the release button again and gently lower the swivel arm until it locks into the operating position. Ensure it is fully lowered before starting the appliance.
- Attaching Other Accessories (Blender, Grater, Meat Grinder): These accessories attach to specific ports on the main unit, typically on the top or front. Refer to the specific operating instructions for each accessory in the next section.

4. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
The ETA Gustus IV Maximus features continuous speed control and a Pulse function for optimal processing of various ingredients.
Mahi Whanui:
- Ensure the appliance is properly assembled and the desired attachment is securely in place.
- Add ingredients to the mixing bowl or accessory.
- Monohia te taputapu ki tetahi putanga hiko tika.
- Turn the speed control dial to the desired setting (1-6). Start with a lower speed and gradually increase as needed.
- For short bursts of maximum power, turn the dial to the "PULSE" setting and hold. Release to stop.
- When finished, turn the speed dial to "0" and unplug the appliance.
Using Mixing Tools (Kneading Hook, Beater, Whisk):
- Kneading Hook: Use for heavy doughs like bread or pizza dough. Start at a low speed (1-2) until ingredients are combined, then increase to medium (3-4) for thorough kneading.
- Kaipatu: Ideal for medium-consistency mixtures such as cake batters, cookie doughs, and frostings. Use speeds 2-4.
- Whiu: Best for light mixtures like egg whites, whipped cream, and light batters. Use higher speeds (4-6) for aeration.
Using the Glass Blender:
- Ensure the blender jug is securely attached to its port on the main unit.
- Add liquids and ingredients to the blender jug. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
- Whakamaua te taupoki.
- Select a speed setting (1-6) or use the PULSE function for quick blending.
- Always unplug before removing the jug or lid.
Using the Grater Attachment:
- Attach the grater housing to its designated port.
- Insert the desired grating drum into the housing.
- Secure the pusher.
- Turn on the appliance to a medium speed (3-5).
- Feed ingredients through the feed tube using the pusher. Do not use fingers or other utensils.
Using the Meat Grinder:
- Assemble the meat grinder components (screw, blade, perforated plate, ring nut) and attach the assembled unit to its port.
- Ensure meat is cut into appropriate sizes and free of bones or excessive sinew.
- Turn on the appliance to a medium speed (3-4).
- Feed meat into the hopper using the food pusher.
- For sausage stuffing, replace the perforated plate and blade with the sausage stuffer attachment.

- Glass Blender Jug: Disassemble the blade assembly from the jug. Wash all parts in warm soapy water. The jug can often be cleaned by filling it with warm water and a drop of dish soap, then running the blender on a low speed for a few seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
- Grater and Meat Grinder Attachments: Disassemble all parts. Wash immediately after use in warm soapy water to prevent food residue from drying. Use a brush to clean small crevices. Dry thoroughly.
