2.2 Hononga

The Q6 Max supports three connection modes: 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.1, and Type-C wired.

Use the switches located on the back of the keyboard to select your desired connection mode (Cable/BT) and operating system layout (Win/Mac).

2.3 Hototahi

The Keychron Q6 Max is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems. Use the dedicated switch on the back of the keyboard to select the appropriate layout for your system.

3.1 Key Remapping with QMK & VIA

The Q6 Max supports QMK/VIA firmware, allowing for extensive customization of key functions, macros, and lighting effects. The VIA software is web-based, eliminating the need for local installation.

The Q6 Max is equipped with hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to change switches without soldering. It supports most 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style mechanical switches (e.g., Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda).

3.5 Te Auau Pōti

The keyboard offers a 1000 Hz polling rate in 2.4 GHz wireless and wired modes, ensuring minimal latency for competitive gaming and fast-paced tasks. In Bluetooth mode, the polling rate is 90 Hz.

To maintain optimal performance and appearance, regularly clean your keyboard. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps. For deeper cleaning, remove the keycaps using the provided keycap puller and wipe them with a damp cloth. Ensure all components are dry before reassembling.
