It features both an audible alarm and app notifications via Wi-Fi connectivity, ensuring you are alerted promptly to prevent water damage. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your water leak detectors.

2. Nga waahanga matua

  • Matohi Ataata: Provides a 75dB audible alarm, a blue flashing reminder, and remote app notifications via a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (only 2.4GHz supported).
  • Tairongo Teitei: Equipped with two bottom sensitive leak sensor probes capable of detecting water levels as low as 0.01 inches (0.22mm).
  • IP67 Waterproof Technology: The outer shell is made of anti-UV material, ensuring reliable operation in humid and dusty environments. It can detect a minimum water level of 0.22mm and has a water level threshold of 1m.

3. Tohutohu Tatūnga

  1. Whakahohehia te Pūhiko: Rotate the upper cover of the detector counter-clockwise to open it. Remove the battery insulation tape from the pre-installed CR123A battery. Close the cover by rotating it clockwise until secure.

  3. Whakauruhia te Aratau takirua: Long press the networking button inside the device for 5 seconds until the blue indicator light flashes quickly (approximately 2 times per second). This indicates the device is ready for pairing.

  5. Hono ma te Taupānga: Download and open the Tuya or Smart Life app on your smartphone. Log in to your account. Click the "+" icon to add a new device. Select "Sensor" then "Flood Detector (Wi-Fi)".

  7. Whakauruhia nga Taipitopito Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password when prompted by the app. The device will then be added to your app.

  9. Turanga: Place the detector on a flat surface in areas where water leaks are a concern, such as near water heaters, washing machines, under sinks, or in basements. Ensure the two metal probes on the bottom of the device are in direct contact with the surface.

4. Mahi

Once set up, the HEIMAN Wi-Fi Smart Water Leak Detector continuously monitors for water. When water is detected by the two bottom probes, the device will:

  • Emit a loud 75dB audible alarm.
  • Flash a blue LED light.
  • Send a real-time notification to your smartphone via the connected app (Tuya/Smart Life).

5. Tiaki

  • Whakakapinga Pūhiko: The detector uses a CR123A battery, which has an estimated life of up to 5 years under normal use. When the battery is low, the app will notify you. To replace, rotate the top cover counter-clockwise, remove the old battery, insert a new CR123A battery, and close the cover.
  • Te ora pūoko: The sensor probes have a lifespan of approximately 10 years.
  • Te horoi: Periodically inspect the device and its probes for any dirt or debris. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6. Te Raru

  • Kāore te pūrere e hono ana ki te Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The device does not support 5GHz networks. Verify your Wi-Fi password is correct and the device is within range of your router. Follow the app pairing instructions carefully.
  • No remote notifications: Verify the device is successfully connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and the app is properly configured for notifications. Check your phone's notification settings to ensure the app has permission to send alerts.
  • Alarm not loud enough: The device features a 75dB alarm. Ensure it is placed in an area where the sound can be heard. Consider placing multiple detectors in large or noisy areas.
  • Sensor sensitivity issues: If the sensor does not detect water at very low levels, ensure the two bottom probes are making proper contact with the surface. Ensure there is no debris obstructing the probes.
