Please read and understand the following safety precautions before using the STRICH Tuner Pedal to ensure safe and optimal operation.
- Tuku Hiko: This pedal requires a 9V DC power supply (center negative). Do not use power supplies with different voltage or polarity, as this may damage the unit and void the warranty. The power supply is not included.
- Taiao: Avoid using the pedal in high-temperature, high-humidity, or dusty environments. Keep it away from water and other liquids.
- Te horoi: Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Whakakorea: Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the pedal. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
- Turanga: Place the pedal on a stable surface to prevent accidental drops.

- Takawaenga: Engages or disengages the tuner. When engaged, the display activates for tuning. When disengaged, the signal passes through via true bypass.
- A4 Adjustment Button: Used to adjust the A4 reference pitch (430-450Hz).
- Semitone Adjustment Button (Flat/Sharp): Used for drop tuning or adjusting semitones.
- Whakaatu Tae: Shows the note, tuning accuracy, A4 reference pitch, and flat/sharp indicators.
- Jack Whakauru: Connect your instrument (guitar or bass) here.
- Jack Huaputa: Hono atu ki to amplifier or other effects pedals here.
- DC 9V Jack Hiko: Connect a 9V DC (center negative) power adapter.
5. Tatūnga
Follow these steps to set up your STRICH Tuner Pedal:
- Hono Hono: Plug a 9V DC (center negative) power adapter into the DC 9V Power Jack (7).
- Tūhono Taputapu: Connect your guitar or bass to the Input Jack (5) using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
- Hono atu ki AmpKaiwhakaora: Connect the Output Jack (6) to your ampte pūoko hiko, te tāurunga rānei o tō pētera pānga e whai ake nei mā te whakamahi i tētahi atu taura taputapu 1/4-inihi.
- Whakahiko: The pedal will power on automatically when connected to power. Press the Footswitch (1) to engage the tuner and activate the display.

6. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
6.1. Whakatakotoranga Taketake
- Engage Tuner: Press the Footswitch (1) to turn on the tuner. The color display (4) will illuminate.
- Play a Note: Pluck a single string on your instrument. The display will show the detected note and its pitch deviation.
- Pānuihia te Whakaaturanga:
- If the indicator is to the left and red, the note is papatahi. Tune up.
- If the indicator is to the right and red, the note is koi. Tune down.
- When the indicator is in the center and kākāriki, the note is in tune.
- Tukurua: Tune each string individually until all are in tune.
- Disengage Tuner: Press the Footswitch (1) again to turn off the tuner. The signal will bypass the pedal, and the display will turn off.

6.2. Adjusting A4 Reference Pitch
To change the A4 reference frequency:
- While the tuner is engaged, press the A4 Adjustment Button (2).
- Each press will cycle through the available A4 frequencies (430Hz to 450Hz).
- Select your desired A4 pitch. The display will show the current A4 setting.

6.3. Drop Tuning Function
The pedal supports drop tuning. Use the Semitone Adjustment Button (3) to set the desired flat interval:
- While the tuner is engaged, press the Semitone Adjustment Button (3).
- Each press will cycle through flat settings (e.g., b, bb, bbb, bbbb).
- The display will indicate the selected drop tuning. Tune your instrument accordingly.
6.4. True Bypass
The STRICH Tuner Pedal features true bypass circuitry. When the tuner is disengaged (Footswitch LED off), your instrument's signal passes directly through the pedal without any coloration or signal degradation. This ensures the purity of your tone when not actively tuning.

7. Tiaki
- Te horoi: Wipe the pedal with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Rokiroki: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power supply and store the pedal in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Hononga: Periodically check all cable connections for wear and tear. Ensure jacks are free of debris.
