The SOULION R100 speaker is powered and receives audio via a single USB cable. It supports both USB-A and USB-C connections using the included adapter.

  1. Connect the USB cable from the speaker to an available USB port on your computer (desktop, laptop, or monitor with a USB port).
  2. If your device only has USB-C ports (e.g., newer MacBooks), use the provided USB-C to USB adapter to connect the speaker.

3.2 Audio Output Configuration (Windows)

After connecting the speaker, you may need to select it as the default audio output device in your operating system settings.

3.3 Audio Output Configuration (Mac)

  1. Plug the USB connector into a USB port on your computer. (Note: If your device is a recent MacBook, use the included USB-C to USB adapter.)
  2. Access your sound settings: Navigate to System Preferences > Sound Settings, then select "R100" as the audio output and save changes.

4.1 Hiko / Whakaweto

  • Long press the 'M' button: Hei whakakā, hei whakaweto rānei i te kaikorero.

4.2 Mode Switching (USB / Bluetooth)

  • Short click the 'M' button: To switch between USB (PC) mode and Bluetooth mode.

4.3 Takirua Nihokikorangi

To connect your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth:

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and the USB connector is plugged in (Bluetooth mode requires USB power).
  2. Short click the 'M' button to switch to Bluetooth mode.
  3. On your smartphone or tablet, search for Bluetooth devices and select "R100" to connect.
  4. To clear the Bluetooth memory (e.g., to pair with a new device), long press the '☀' button for 3 seconds.

4.4 Mana Rōrahi

  • Short click '+' button: Runga ake.
  • Long press '+' button: Volume up quickly.
  • Short click '-' button: Raro iho.
  • Long press '-' button: Volume down quickly.

4.5 Nga Painga Rarama LED

The speaker features dynamic LED rainbow lights at the bottom, offering four distinct lighting modes:

  • Aratau Manawa
  • Aratau Rōnaki
  • Aratau Rhythm
  • Monochrome Fixed
  • Short click the '☀' button: To cycle through the different LED lighting effects.
  • Click the '☀' button: To turn the LED lights on or off.

5. Tiaki

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SOULION R100 speakers, follow these maintenance guidelines:

6.1 No Sound / Speaker Not Working

  1. Avoid Dual Connections: Ensure you are not attempting to use two audio outputs on your computer simultaneously.
  2. Tīpakohia te Putanga Tika: Verify that "R100" is selected as the audio output device in your computer's sound settings (refer to Section 3.2 and 3.3).
