2. Hua Neke Atuview
The AEG AB31C1GG is a powerful and efficient bagged vacuum cleaner designed for effective cleaning of various surfaces, particularly carpets. It features a 750W motor, a 3-liter dust bag capacity, and a HEPA filter for improved air quality.

3. Tatūnga me te Runanga

- Assemble Telescopic Tube: Connect the handle end of the flexible hose to the wider end of the telescopic tube. Extend the telescopic tube to your desired length by pressing the release button and pulling.
- Tāpirihia te Pūwero Papa: Connect the floor nozzle to the narrower end of the telescopic tube. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Takina Puke Puehu: Open the dust bag compartment (usually located at the front or top of the main unit) and ensure a dust bag is correctly installed. Refer to Section 5.1 for dust bag replacement instructions.

Once assembled, your AEG AB31C1GG vacuum cleaner is ready for use.
4.1 Power Connection and On/Off
- Pull out the power cord from the main unit to the desired length. The cord has a maximum length of 5 meters. Do not pull beyond the yellow marker.
- Insert the plug into a suitable electrical outlet (230V).
- Press the On/Off button (usually marked with a power symbol) on the main unit to start the vacuum cleaner.
- Hei whakaweto, pehia ano te paatene Kia / Weto.
- To rewind the cord, press the cord rewind button (usually marked with a cord symbol). Hold the plug to prevent it from whipping.
4.2 Te Whakatikatika i te Mana Momi
The suction power can be adjusted using the rotary dial on the main unit:
- Turn the dial towards 'MIN' for reduced suction, suitable for delicate surfaces like curtains or light rugs.
- Turn the dial towards 'MAX' for maximum suction, ideal for heavily soiled carpets or hard floors.
4.3 Te whakamahi i nga taapiri
- Papa Papamahi: Use for general cleaning of carpets and hard floors. Some floor nozzles have a switch to adjust for different floor types.
- Utauta Kohanga: Ideal for cleaning in narrow gaps, corners, and along edges.
- Upholstery/Brush Tool: Use for cleaning upholstery, curtains, and other delicate surfaces. The brush helps to dislodge dirt.

5. Tiaki

5.1 Whakakapinga Puke Puehu
The dust bag should be replaced when the dust bag indicator (if present) shows full, or when suction power noticeably decreases. The capacity of the dust bag is 3 liters.
- Whakatuwheratia te taupoki o te wāhanga o te putea puehu.
- Carefully remove the full dust bag from its holder. Dispose of the bag according to local waste regulations.
- Insert a new AEG compatible dust bag into the holder, ensuring it is correctly seated and sealed.
- Close the dust bag compartment cover until it clicks shut.
5.2 Tiaki Tatari
The AEG AB31C1GG is equipped with a HEPA filter, which should be cleaned or replaced periodically to maintain filtration efficiency and suction power.
- Locate the HEPA filter compartment, typically near the exhaust vent or within the dust bag compartment.
- Remove the HEPA filter. Depending on the filter type, it may be washable or require replacement.
- If washable, rinse under cold running water and allow it to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. Do not use detergents or heat to dry.
- If non-washable, replace with a new AEG compatible HEPA filter.
- Reinsert the clean or new filter and close the compartment cover.
