4. Tatūnga
4.1. Tohutohii Pakihi
The engraving pen is powered by a 2000mAh Lithium Ion battery. Before first use, or when the battery is low, charge the device using the provided USB-C cable.
- Connect the USB-C cable to the charging port on the engraving pen.
- Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into a standard USB charger, laptop, or power bank.
- The charging indicator will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours for continuous engraving.

4.2. Tāutanga Moka
To install or change an engraving bit:
- Ensure the engraving pen is turned off.
- Unscrew the front collar of the pen to expose the chuck.
- Insert the desired bit into the chuck.
- Use the provided L-shaped wrench to securely tighten the chuck, ensuring the bit is firmly in place. Do not overtighten.
- Replace the front collar.

5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
5.1. Te Whakakā/Te Whakaweto me te Whakaritenga Tere
The HARDELL Engraving Pen features 6-speed settings for various tasks.
- To power on, press and hold the power button until the LCD display illuminates.
- To adjust the speed, press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the 6 available speeds (18,000 to 38,000 RPM). The LCD display will indicate the current speed level.

5.2. Material Compatibility and Usage
This tool is suitable for engraving, grinding, and polishing on a wide range of materials:
- Whakairo: Use diamond bits for detailed work on metal, wood, glass, plastic, and leather.
- Miro: Utilize grinding bits for shaping and material removal.
- Whakakorikori: Attach polishing bits for smoothing surfaces and achieving a desired finish.
- keri: Small drilling tasks can be performed on softer materials like shells or plastic.

5.3. Using Stencils
The kit includes various stencils (alphabets, numbers, designs) to assist with precise engraving:
- Place the desired stencil firmly on the material surface.
- Carefully trace the stencil design with the engraving pen, applying light and consistent pressure.
- Remove the stencil once the design is complete.

6. Tiaki

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your engraving pen:
- After each use, gently wipe the pen body with a soft, dry cloth.
- Use a small brush to remove any dust or debris from the chuck and bit area.

- Poor engraving quality: Ensure the bit is sharp and not worn. Adjust the speed setting and pressure according to the material.
