This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for the Onyx BOOX Go 6 eReader. It covers essential information regarding setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to help you maximize your device's capabilities. The Onyx BOOX Go 6 is a compact 6-inch eReader designed for an optimal reading experience with its E Ink Carta 1300 display and Android 11 operating system.

1. Tatūnga
1.1 Utu Tuatahi
Before first use, fully charge your Onyx BOOX Go 6. Connect the included USB-C cable to the device's USB-C port and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
1.2 Hiko / Whakaweto
- Hei Whakahiko: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side or top edge) for a few seconds until the BOOX logo appears.
- Hei Whakaweto: Press and hold the power button until the power-off menu appears, then select "Power Off".
- Hei Moe/Aranga: Briefly press the power button to put the device into sleep mode or wake it up.
1.3 Whirihoranga Tuatahi
Upon first power-on, you will be guided through the initial setup process:
- Tīpakohia tō reo pai.
- Connect to a Wi-Fi network. This is essential for downloading content, updates, and accessing online services.
- Whakaae ki nga tikanga me nga tikanga.
- (Optional) Log in to your Google account to access the Google Play Store and other Google services.
2. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
2.1 Whakateretere
The Onyx BOOX Go 6 features a responsive touchscreen for navigation. Use standard touch gestures:
- Tap: Tīpakohia tētahi tūemi, whakatuwherahia rānei he tono.
- Swipe: Panuku mā roto i ngā whārangi, i ngā rārangi rānei.
- Whakawiri-ki-Topa: Adjust text size or zoom in on images (where supported).

2.2 Panui pukapuka
To open and read a book:
- From the home screen, tap on "Library" or open a reading application like "NeoReader" (pre-installed) or a third-party app.
- Select the book you wish to read.
- Huri Whārangi: Tap the left or right side of the screen, or swipe horizontally to turn pages.
- Whakatika Kuputuhi: Within a book, tap the center of the screen to bring up the reading menu. Here you can adjust font size, font style, line spacing, and margins.
- Maama o Mua: Access the quick settings panel (usually by swiping down from the top of the screen) to adjust the brightness and color temperature (warm/cold) of the front light.

2.3 Whakauru Whakauru
As an Android-based device, the BOOX Go 6 allows installation of various Android applications. You can download apps from the pre-installed BOOX App Store or, if you've logged into your Google account, from the Google Play Store.

2.4 File Whakawhiti
Ka taea e koe te whakawhiti files to your device via:
- USB-C: Connect the device to your computer using the USB-C cable. The device will appear as a removable storage drive.
- Wi-Fi Transfer: Use the built-in "Send2Boox" feature or other cloud services to wirelessly transfer documents.
- Kāri MicroSD: Insert a microSD card into the dedicated slot for expanded storage.
2.5 Hononga
- Wi-Fi: Enable Wi-Fi in settings to connect to wireless networks for internet access, content downloads, and software updates. Supports 2.4/5GHz.
- Nihokikorangi: Enable Bluetooth in settings to connect wireless headphones or other Bluetooth accessories for audiobooks or other media.
3. Tiaki
3.1 Te horoi i te taputapu
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen and body of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the screen or finish.

4.2 Slow Response or Freezing
If the device becomes unresponsive or slow, try closing background applications. If the issue continues, perform a soft reset by holding the power button until the power-off menu appears and select "Restart".
4.3 Nga Take Hononga Wi-Fi
Check if Wi-Fi is enabled in settings. Ensure you are within range of a strong Wi-Fi signal. Try restarting your Wi-Fi router or forgetting and re-connecting to the network on your device.
4.4 Apps Crashing or Not Installing
Ensure you have sufficient storage space. Clear the cache of the problematic app or the app store. If an app continues to crash, try uninstalling and reinstalling it. For persistent issues, a factory reset (see below) might be necessary, but this will erase all data.
4.5 Tautuhi Tautuhi
A factory reset will erase all data and settings on your device, restoring it to its original state. This should be considered a last resort for persistent software issues. Navigate to Tautuhinga> Pūnaha> Tautuhi Tautuhi kōwhiringa> Mukua nga raraunga katoa (tautuhi wheketere). Back up any important data before proceeding.
