3. Tohutohu Tāuta

Professional installation is recommended. Ensure all local plumbing codes are followed. This system uses standard US NPT 1/2-inch connectors.

3.2. Rough-in Valve Installation

  1. Whakaritea te whakatuwheratanga o te pakitara: Create an opening in the wall according to the dimensions provided in Figure 3, ensuring adequate space for the rough-in valve body.
  2. Mount Rough-in Valve: Secure the rough-in valve body to the wall studs or blocking. Ensure it is level and at the correct depth relative to the finished wall surface (Min. 70mm / 2.75 inches, Max. 90mm / 3.54 inches from finish wall to stringer or base surface, as shown in Figure 3).
  3. Honoa Raina Wai: Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the corresponding inlets on the rough-in valve (marked 'H' for hot and 'C' for cold). Use thread seal tape on all threaded connections.
  4. Hononga Pūnaha: Connect the outlet pipes for the shower head and handheld spray to the appropriate ports on the rough-in valve.

3.3. Trim and Fixture Installation

  1. Tāutahia te Ringa Kaukau: Thread the shower arm into the wall outlet for the rain shower head. Ensure it is securely tightened and sealed.
  2. Attach Rain Shower Head: Screw the 10-inch rain shower head onto the shower arm. Hand-tighten, then use a wrench for a final snug fit, being careful not to overtighten.
  3. Install Control Trim: Install the decorative trim plate and handle onto the rough-in valve according to the manufacturer's instructions provided with the physical product.
  4. Mount Handheld Holder: Choose a suitable height for the handheld shower holder (typically 39.37-59.05 inches / 1000-1500mm from the floor, as per Figure 3) and secure it to the wall using the provided hardware.
  5. Connect Handheld Shower: Attach the shower hose to the handheld spray and the wall outlet. Place the handheld spray into its holder.

  • Huri Huri: A button or lever on the handheld shower head allows you to cycle through the three spray patterns. Press or slide the control to select your desired mode.
  • Aratau 1: (e.g., Full Spray) - A standard, invigorating spray.
  • Aratau 2: (e.g., Massage Spray) - A more focused, pulsating spray.
  • Aratau 3: (e.g., Mist Spray) - A gentle, wide coverage spray.

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your WELLFOR shower system.

5.1. Te horoi
