2.1. Download the Application

Download the official TOPDON CarPal application from the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Rapua 'TOPDON CarPal' to locate the correct app.

2.2. Connect to Vehicle OBD-II Port

Locate your vehicle's OBD-II port, typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side. Plug the TOPDON CarPal device firmly into the OBD-II port. Ensure a secure connection to avoid poor contact. The device will light up, indicating it is powered on.

2.3. Pair via Bluetooth

1. Turn on your vehicle's ignition (engine does not need to be running initially, but may be required for certain diagnostics).
2. Open the TOPDON CarPal app on your smartphone.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device. The app will search for the CarPal device via Bluetooth.
4. Select your CarPal device from the list and confirm pairing. The device's indicator light will turn blue once connected.

If the device fails to connect, ensure it is securely plugged into the OBD-II port, your vehicle's ignition is on, and Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone. Restarting the app or your phone may also resolve minor connection glitches.
