4.1 Whakataki Tuatahi
Before first use, connect the keyboard to a USB power source using the provided USB-C cable to ensure the internal 4000mAh battery is fully charged.
4.2 Ngā Aratau Hononga
Your Varmilo Minilo98 Pro supports three connection types:
- Aratau Waea (USB-C): Connect the keyboard directly to your device using the USB-C cable. The keyboard will automatically switch to wired mode.
- 2.4 GHz Aratau Ahokore: Insert the 2.4GHz wireless dongle into an available USB port on your device. Use the easy-reach switch on the back of the keyboard to select 2.4GHz mode.
- Aratau Nihokikorangi 5.0: Use the easy-reach switch on the back of the keyboard to select Bluetooth mode. On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select 'Varmilo Minilo98 Pro' to pair.

4.3 Hototahi Pūnaha Whakahaere
The keyboard is compatible with Mac, iOS, Windows, and Android operating systems. Special keycaps for MacOS are included for convenience.

5.1 Whakawhiti Aratau
Locate the easy-reach switch on the back edge of the keyboard to seamlessly switch between wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth modes.
5.2 Whakaara Whakamarama RGB
The keyboard features south-facing RGB LED backlighting. Use the designated function keys (Fn + F1/F2 for brightness, Fn + F3/F4 for effects) to adjust brightness levels and lighting effects. Refer to the quick start guide for specific key combinations.
5.3 Programmability
The Varmilo Minilo98 Pro is programmable with QMK, VIA, or a custom web driver. These tools allow you to remap keys, create macros, and customize lighting effects beyond the default settings. Visit the Varmilo official website for detailed instructions and software downloads.
5.4 Media Control Knob
The dedicated media control knob can be used to adjust volume. Rotate clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease volume, and press to mute/unmute.

The keyboard features hot-swappable sockets, allowing for easy replacement of switches without soldering. Use the provided combination switch puller / key puller to carefully remove keycaps and switches. Ensure replacement switches are compatible (3-pin or 5-pin).

7.1 Nga Take Hononga
- Whakapau: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and your device. Try a different USB port or cable.
- 2.4 GHz Ahokore: Verify the dongle is properly inserted and the keyboard is set to 2.4GHz mode. Try re-pairing by pressing Fn + 4 for 3 seconds.
- Nihokikorangi: Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth mode and discoverable. Remove the keyboard from your device's Bluetooth list and re-pair. Try pressing Fn + 1/2/3 for 3 seconds to switch between Bluetooth profiles.
7.2 Kī Kore Te Whakautu
- Check if the keyboard is powered on and connected.
- If specific keys are not working, the switch might be faulty. Utilize the switch puller to replace the affected switch.
- Ensure the keycaps are properly seated on the switches.
7.3 Nga take rama RGB
- Adjust brightness levels using Fn + F1/F2.
- Cycle through lighting effects using Fn + F3/F4.
- Ensure the keyboard battery has sufficient charge, as low battery can affect lighting performance.
