5. Tatūnga me te Tāuta
The LINOVISION 4G LTE MIMO Combo 5-in-1 Antenna is designed for screw-mount installation on a flat surface, typically a roof or panel. Ensure the mounting location is clear of obstructions and provides optimal line-of-sight for signal reception.
Hipanga Tāuta:
- Whakapaia te Mata Maunga: Choose a flat, stable surface for mounting. Ensure there is sufficient space underneath for cable routing and securing the antenna.
- Drill Mounting Hole: Drill a hole with a diameter of approximately 0.98 inches (25mm) at the chosen mounting location. This hole will accommodate the antenna's threaded base.
- Apply Adhesive (Optional but Recommended): For enhanced sealing and stability, apply the included 3M double-sided tape or a suitable sealant around the drilled hole on the mounting surface.
- Insert Antenna: Carefully insert the antenna's threaded base through the drilled hole from the top side of the mounting surface.
- Pūihi Haumaru: From the underside of the mounting surface, thread the large nut onto the antenna's base and tighten it securely. Ensure the antenna is firmly seated and does not wobble.
- Tūhono Taura: Route the five cables to your compatible cellular router or device. Connect each cable to its corresponding port:
- 2x SMA Male connectors for 4G LTE (Main and Aux)
- 2x RP-SMA Male connectors for Wi-Fi (Main and Aux)
- 1x SMA Male connector for GNSS

Figure 5.1: Antenna Installation Steps. This diagram visually guides the user through the four main steps of installing the antenna: drilling the hole, preparing the base, inserting the antenna, and securing it with the nut.
Note: For optimal performance, ensure the antenna is mounted in a location with a clear view of the sky for GNSS reception and minimal obstructions for LTE/Wi-Fi signals.
6. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
Once the LINOVISION 4G LTE MIMO Combo 5-in-1 Antenna is physically installed and all cables are securely connected to your compatible router or device, its operation is largely passive. The antenna will automatically begin receiving and transmitting signals for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and GNSS as soon as the connected device is powered on and configured.
Mahi Whanui:
- Whirihoranga Pouara: Refer to your specific cellular router's user manual for instructions on how to configure its WAN (LTE) and WLAN (Wi-Fi) settings to utilize external antennas. Ensure the router's antenna settings are correctly configured to use the external antenna ports.
- Aroturuki Kaha Waitohu: Most compatible routers provide an interface to monitor signal strength (e.g., RSSI, RSRP, SINR for LTE). Use these metrics to verify optimal antenna placement and connection.
- GNSS Functionality: The GNSS antenna provides location data to compatible devices. Ensure your device's GNSS/GPS features are enabled and configured to receive data from the external antenna.
- Wi-Fi Extension: The Wi-Fi antennas extend the range and improve the performance of your router's Wi-Fi network.
No direct user interaction with the antenna itself is required after installation.
