1. Kupu Whakataki
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your KATOOL ME-T500+ME-B620 24" Tire Changer and Wheel Balancer Combo. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the equipment to ensure proper usage and to prevent injury or damage.
2. Nga korero haumaru

3. Tatūnga
3.1 Unpacking and Assembly:

- Assemble the swing arm and other attachments according to the provided diagrams. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened.
3.2 Power and Air Connections:
- Connect the tire changer to a standard 120V/1ph power supply.
- Connect the air supply to the machine. The operating air pressure should be between 8-10 bar (116-145 PSI).
- Ensure the air filtration system is properly installed and maintained to prolong the life of pneumatic components.

4. Operating the Tire Changer (ME-T500)
The ME-T500 tire changer is designed for efficient mounting and demounting of tires. It features a robust 2.0HP motor and adjustable clamps for various wheel sizes.
4.1 Bead Breaking:
- Position the wheel on the side-mounted bead breaker. Ensure the tire is flush against the machine to prevent movement.
- Actuate the foot pedal to engage the bead breaker. Apply steady pressure to separate the tire bead from the rim.
- Repeat for both sides of the tire.

4.2 Demounting the Tire:
- Place the wheel onto the turntable, ensuring it is securely clamped. The adjustable clamps accommodate 12"-24" wheels.
- Position the mounting head (bird head) at the edge of the rim. Ensure the plastic protector is in place to prevent rim damage.
- Use a tire lever to lift the top bead over the mounting head.

4.3 Mounting the Tire:
- Apply tire lubricant to both beads of the new tire and the rim edges.
- Whakanohoia te pītiti o raro ki runga i te awhi, kia tino tika kei raro i te pane whakamau.
- Use the tire lever to guide the top bead over the mounting head while rotating the turntable.
- Inflate the tire using the integrated inflation hose with pressure gauge. Ensure the beads seat properly. Do not inflate tires while clamped i runga i te miihini.

5. Operating the Wheel Balancer (ME-B620)
The ME-B620 wheel balancer ensures accurate wheel balancing for smooth vehicle operation. Refer to the balancer's specific display and button functions for precise weight placement.
5.1 Balancing Procedure:
- Mount the wheel securely onto the balancer shaft.
- Input the wheel's dimensions (diameter, width, offset) into the balancer's control panel.
- Initiate the spin cycle. The balancer will measure imbalances and display the required weight and location.
- Apply the correct balance weights to the indicated positions on the rim.
- Perform a final spin to verify balance. Adjust weights as necessary until the display shows zero imbalance.

6. Tiaki
Mā te tiaki auau ka roa te ora me te mahi tino pai o āu taputapu KATOOL.
- Whakahinuhinu: Regularly oil the moving parts, especially the swing arm and turntable clamps, to ensure smooth operation.
- Tātari hau: Check and clean or replace the air filter regularly to maintain proper air pressure and prevent contamination of pneumatic components.
- Te horoi: Keep the machine clean from tire debris, lubricant residue, and dirt.
- Tirotiro: Periodically inspect all hoses, cables, and connections for wear or damage. Tighten any loose fasteners.
7. Te Raru
Nga take me nga otinga noa:
- Tire bead not breaking: Ensure the tire is properly positioned against the bead breaker. Apply sufficient lubricant. Check air pressure.
- Tire difficult to mount/demount: Ensure adequate lubrication on beads and rim. Verify the mounting head is correctly positioned and adjusted.
- Wheel balancer inaccuracies: Ensure the wheel is securely mounted and all input parameters (diameter, width, offset) are correct. Calibrate the balancer periodically as per its specific instructions.
- Kāore te mīhini e whakakā ana: Check power connection, circuit breaker, and emergency stop button.
