5. Tatūnga
Follow these steps to install your AQQA DC Aquarium Water Pump:
- Kōwhiri Nozzle: Select the appropriate nozzle (6/8mm or 10/12mm) for your tubing system and securely attach it to the pump's outlet.
- Turanga Puma: Place the pump unit at the desired location within your aquarium, pond, or water feature. Ensure it is fully submerged. The four suction cups on the base will help secure it to a clean, smooth surface.
- Tūhono Pūmana: Connect the pump's cable to the external controller.
- Hono Hono: Plug the power cord from the controller into a suitable electrical outlet (110V-240V).
- Manatokohia te taumata wai: Ensure the water level is sufficient to cover the pump completely. The pump can operate at low water levels (down to 1.5cm) but full submersion is recommended for optimal performance and longevity.

The external controller provides easy access to all pump functions.
Hiko Whakaka/Weto:
- Pehia te ON/OFF button once to turn the pump on or off.
Te Whakatikatika i te Tere Rere:
- Whakamahia te + button to increase the flow rate.
- Whakamahia te - button to decrease the flow rate.
- There are 4 adjustable flow levels, indicated by the lights on the controller.
Aratau Whangai:
- To activate feeding mode, press and hold the Whangai pātene mo te 5 hēkona.
- The pump will pause for 10 minutes, allowing fish to feed without strong currents.
- After 10 minutes, the pump will automatically restart at its previous flow setting.
