1. Whakataki Tuatahi

Before first use, fully charge the console. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the console's Type-C Charging Port and a compatible 5V/2A power adapter (not included). It takes approximately 2 hours for a full charge, providing up to 6 hours of battery life.

Tuhipoka: It is recommended to use original or regular brand chargers to avoid overcharging and ensure device longevity.

2. Inserting TF Cards

The console uses two TF (microSD) card slots:

  • TF-OS: This slot is pre-installed with the operating system card. Do not remove or replace this card unless instructed by support.
  • TF-Game: This slot is for additional game storage. Insert your game-loaded TF card (16GB-256GB) into this slot. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.

2. Navigating the System Menu

Use the Direction Pad and A/B/X/Y buttons to navigate through the multiple open-source Linux systems and game libraries. The Left and Right Rockers can also be used for navigation.

3. Taakaro

The console comes pre-loaded with over 18,000 games and supports more than 30 mainstream emulators. Simply select a game from the menu and press the 'Start' or 'A' button to begin playing.

4. Saving and Loading Game Progress

Most emulators support in-game saving and loading features. Refer to the specific emulator's instructions within the console for details on how to save your progress and load saved states.

5. Hononga Wi-Fi

The R36 Pro features 2.4G Wi-Fi for high-speed transmission, allowing for rapid loading of game resources and a smooth, stable network experience. Access Wi-Fi settings through the system menu to connect to a network.

6. Two-Player Connection

The console supports two-person connections for shared gaming experiences. External equipment, such as additional controllers, may need to be purchased separately for this feature.
