2.2. Machine Features
The Siser Romeo cutting machine is designed for precision and versatility:

3. Tatūnga
3.1. Te wetewete
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Note that the bundle may arrive in multiple boxes.
- Inspect the machine and accessories for any signs of damage. Contact customer support if any damage is found.
- Place the Siser Romeo machine on a stable, flat surface with adequate space around it for material loading and unloading.
3.2. Connecting Power and USB
- Connect the power adapter to the machine's power port and then plug it into a wall outlet.
- For wired connection, connect the included USB cable from the machine to your computer.
- For wireless connection, ensure your machine is within range of your Wi-Fi network. Wi-Fi setup will be completed through the Leonardo Design Studio software.
3.3. Software Installation (Leonardo Design Studio)
- Download the Leonardo Design Studio software from the official Siser webpae.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software on your Windows or Mac computer.
- Launch Leonardo Design Studio and follow the prompts to connect your Romeo machine via USB or Wi-Fi.
3.4. Tāuta Mata
- Carefully remove the blade from its protective casing.
- Insert the blade into the blade holder, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Place the blade holder into the carriage of the Siser Romeo machine. Ensure it clicks securely into place.

4. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
4.1. Te Whakakaha/Weto
- Hei Whakahiko: Press the power button located on the side of the machine. The touch screen will illuminate.
- Hei Whakaweto: Press and hold the power button until the machine shuts down.
4.2. Uta Rawa
- Ensure the pinch rollers are adjusted to the width of your material or cutting mat.
- Align the material or mat with the guides on the machine.
- Use the load/unload button on the touch screen or machine to feed the material into position.
4.3. Using the Touch Screen Interface
The touch screen allows for direct control over various settings:
- Tatūkē: Select pre-configured settings for common materials like HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl) or PSV (Pressure Sensitive Vinyl).
- Whakahau: Adjust the downward pressure of the blade.
- Tere: Control the cutting speed.
- Tapahia Whakamatau: Initiate a small test cut to verify settings.

4.4. Performing a Test Cut
Before cutting a full design, perform a test cut to ensure optimal settings for your material:
- Load a small piece of your material into the machine.
- Navigate to the 'Test Cut' option on the touch screen.
- Adjust force and speed as needed based on the test cut results. A good test cut should cut through the material cleanly without cutting the backing.
4.5. Cutting with Leonardo Design Studio
- Create or import your design in Leonardo Design Studio.
- Prepare your design for cutting, including sizing and mirroring if necessary (e.g., for HTV).
- Send the design to your Siser Romeo machine via USB or Wi-Fi.
- Confirm settings on the machine's touch screen and initiate the cut.

4.6. Matless Cutting
The Siser Romeo supports matless cutting for certain roll materials. Ensure the material is properly aligned and secured by the pinch rollers. Refer to the Leonardo Design Studio software for specific instructions on preparing designs for matless cutting.
4.7. Te Whakamahi i te Pupuri Pene
The pen holder allows the Romeo to draw designs instead of cutting them:
- Replace the blade holder with the pen holder, ensuring a pen is securely inserted.
- Prepare your design in Leonardo Design Studio, selecting the drawing function.
- Load your material and send the design to the machine.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Siser Romeo machine.
5.1. Te horoi i te Miihini
- Always power off and unplug the machine before cleaning.

- Gently clean the cutting strip and blade housing to remove any material debris.
- Use compressed air to clear dust from hard-to-reach areas.
5.2. Whakakapinga Mata
Replace the cutting blade when you notice a decrease in cut quality or when the blade appears dull. Refer to the blade installation steps in Section 3.4 for guidance on replacing the blade.
5.3. Roller Care
Keep the pinch rollers and grit rollers clean and free of adhesive residue. Use a lint-free cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol to gently clean the rollers if they become sticky.

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Siser Romeo machine.

Check if the blade is dull and needs replacement. Verify that the blade is correctly installed in the holder. Adjust the force and speed settings on the touch screen or in Leonardo Design Studio. Perform a test cut to fine-tune settings. - Material Not Loading/Feeding Properly:
Ensure the material is aligned straight and the pinch rollers are correctly positioned and engaged. Clean the rollers if they are dirty or sticky. - Machine Not Connecting to Computer (USB/Wi-Fi):
For USB, ensure the cable is securely connected and try a different USB port. For Wi-Fi, verify your network connection and ensure the machine is within range. Re-establish the connection in Leonardo Design Studio. Ensure your Wi-Fi network uses WPA/WPA2 security, as WPA3 may not be supported. - Design Not Cutting Accurately:
Calibrate the machine if necessary (refer to Leonardo Design Studio documentation). Ensure the material is loaded without wrinkles or bubbles.
