2. Tatūnga
Before first use, ensure the robot and AutoEmpty Dock are properly set up. The Roomba Max 705 is controlled via the Roomba Home App, which guides you through the initial setup process including Wi-Fi connection and initial mapping.
2.1 Te Wetewete me te Whakanoho
- Remove all packaging materials from the robot and the AutoEmpty Dock.
- Place the AutoEmpty Dock on a hard, level surface against a wall, ensuring there are no obstacles for at least 1.5 feet (0.45 meters) on either side and 4 feet (1.2 meters) in front.
- Connect the dock's power cord to a wall outlet.
2.2 Whakataki Tuatahi
- Place the Roomba robot onto the charging contacts of the AutoEmpty Dock. Ensure the robot is properly aligned.
- Allow the robot to fully charge before its first cleaning cycle. A full charge typically takes several hours.
2.3 App Setup and Mapping
- Download the Roomba Home App from your device's app store.

3.1 Cleaning Modes and Suction Power
- Whakapai Paerewa: Initiates a full cleaning cycle of your mapped area.
- Te Wahi Ma: Directs the robot to intensely clean a specific localized area.
- Whakanuia te whariki: The robot automatically increases suction power when detecting carpets for deeper cleaning, effectively removing embedded dirt and pet hair.
- Momo Whakaritea: Through the app, you can select between four levels of suction power to suit different cleaning needs and floor types.

- Room-by-Room Cleaning: Select specific rooms or zones for cleaning directly from the app.

4.1 AutoEmpty Dock
