Comprehensive instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance of your Albott mini split system.

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Albott 9000 BTU Mini Split Air Conditioner Heat Pump. This inverter ductless AC system offers cooling, heating, dehumidifying, and fan modes, designed for spaces up to 450 sq. ft. It features energy-efficient operation with an 18.5 SEER2 rating and includes a self-cleaning function for easy maintenance.

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. It is recommended that installation be performed by a licensed professional.

4.1 Nga Tirohanga i mua i te whakaurunga

  • Ensure the installation location for the indoor unit is hard, flat, and firm to avoid vibration and noise.
  • Maintain adequate clearance around both indoor and outdoor units for proper airflow. Refer to the dimension drawing for specific clearances.
  • Avoid installing near heat sources, steam sources, or in areas with smoke, oil, flammable, or corrosive gases.

4.2 Te Whakataunga Wae-roto

  1. Remove the mounting bracket from the back of the indoor unit.
  2. Use the provided paper pattern/template to identify the exact location for drilling holes for the mounting bracket and piping.
  3. Drill screw holes in the corresponding positions and insert expansion tubes.
  4. Securely mount the bracket on the wall using expansion screws.
  5. Drill a wall hole for the refrigerant pipes, ensuring it is inclined outward by 5-10 degrees with a diameter of 60-80mm. Use an anti-dust bag to collect debris.
  6. Confirm the direction for placing the air conditioning ducts and remove the knock-out panel with a knife, removing any burrs to prevent damage to the drain pipe.
  7. Pass the communication cable through the hole on the back of the indoor unit and connect the wires to the terminal board according to the color-coded wiring diagram. Secure the wires with the fixing plate.
  8. Connect the drain hose to the water outlet pipe, ensuring a tight fit.
  9. Line up all wires and pipes neatly, wrap them together with plastic tapes, and pass them through the wall hole.
  10. Hang the indoor unit on the mounting plate, ensuring it clicks firmly into place.
  11. Use pipe protection rings and putty to seal the wall hole around the pipes.

4.3 Whakaritenga Waehe o waho

  1. Place the outdoor unit in a suitable location, either on a wall bracket (purchased separately) or directly on the ground. Ensure the location is firm and flat to prevent vibration and noise.
  2. Maintain adequate clearance around the outdoor unit. Refer to the dimension drawing for specific clearances.
  3. Connect the two refrigerant pipes (gas and liquid) to the outdoor unit, ensuring the joints fit snugly and are tightened with a wrench.
  4. Remove the electrical box cover by unscrewing the three screws.
  5. Pass the power cable wires through the cover hole (usually the right-hand hole) and fix the wires to the terminal board according to the wiring diagram. Secure the fixing plate.

4.4 Vacuuming and Refrigerant Release

  1. Connect the stop valve, charging hose, manifold valve, and vacuum pump as shown in the diagram.
  2. Vacuumize the system for at least 15 minutes, ensuring the pressure gauge value is ≤ -0.1MPa (-76cmHg / 500µm).
  3. Maintain the pressure for 3-5 minutes after vacuumizing. The pressure springback should be ≤ 0.05MPa.
  4. Open the 1/4 liquid valve and remove the charging hose.
  5. Using an Allen wrench, open all the liquid valves and gas valves. Finally, retighten the three caps.

Your Albott Mini Split system offers multiple modes and features for optimal comfort control.

5.1 Nga Mahi Mana Mamao

The remote control allows you to adjust settings from up to 30 feet away. It features buttons for mode selection, temperature adjustment, fan speed, and special functions.

5.2 Aratau Mahi

  • Aratau whakamatao: Provides efficient cooling to maintain desired room temperature.
  • Aratau Whakawera: Functions as a heat pump to warm your space.
  • Aratau whakamakuku: Ka whakaiti i te haumākū o te rangi.
  • Aratau Fan: Ka huri i te hau me te kore whakamatao, whakamahana ranei.
  • Aratau Auto: Automatically selects the appropriate mode based on the set temperature and ambient conditions.
  • Aratau Moe: Adjusts temperature and fan speed for comfortable sleep while conserving energy.
  • Aratau Eco: Optimizes energy consumption for cost savings.

  • Adjust temperature settings between 60°F and 90°F using the remote control.
  • Select from Low, Mid, High, or Turbo fan speeds to control airflow intensity.
  • Utilize the 4-way swing function for personalized airflow direction.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your unit.

6.1 Mahi Whakapai Whaiaro

The unit features a 135°F self-cleaning function to help remove dust buildup. A reminder will appear every 500 hours of operation to activate the 30-minute self-cleaning cycle.

6.2 Tātari Puehu Wehewe

The detachable dust filter can be easily removed for quick and hassle-free cleaning. Regular cleaning of the filter helps trap dust and particles, ensuring fresher air circulation and enhanced durability of internal components.
