The controller requires two AA batteries for operation. Open the battery compartment on the back of the controller, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and close the compartment securely.

To connect your controller to a device:

For Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S:
- Turn on your Xbox console.
- Press the console's pairing key.
- Press and hold the controller's HOME button for 1 second.
- Press and hold the controller's pairing button for 1 second. The HOME indicator on the controller will remain on once pairing is successful.
For Windows PC/iOS/Android:
- Press and hold the controller's HOME button for 1 second.
- Press and hold the controller's pairing button for 1 second.
- On your PC/iOS/Android device, search for "Xbox Wireless Controller" in Bluetooth settings. (Note: iOS system must be version 13.0 or above). The HOME indicator on the controller will remain on once pairing is successful.

If you experience connection issues with your Xbox, an upgrade may be required. The upgrade process can only be performed on a Windows PC and typically takes 2-3 minutes. Refer to the official Gamrombo support resources for the upgrade program download URL and video instructions.

Familiarize yourself with the controller's buttons and their standard functions:

RGB Lights Function Settings
The controller features customizable RGB lighting. To adjust the lighting modes:
- When the controller is powered on, press and hold the L3 + R3 buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The controller will vibrate to confirm activation.
- Press the L3 button to cycle through different lighting modes (e.g., Breathing LED Mode, Fixed LED Mode, various color patterns).
- Press the R3 button to lock the current lighting mode.

Mahinga Turbo
The Turbo function allows for rapid, repeated input of a button press. This controller offers 3 adjustable Turbo speeds:
- 5 presses per second (5/s)
- 12 presses per second (12/s)
- 20 presses per second (20/s)
To activate the Turbo function for a specific button (A/B/X/Y/L/R/RT/LT/RB/LB):
- Press and hold the desired function key.
- While holding the function key, press the "Turbo" button (located on the front of the controller). The button will now have Turbo functionality.

To deactivate Turbo for a button, repeat the activation steps (hold the function key and press "Turbo").

Programming Function Keys (Macro)
The PL and PR keys on the back of the controller can be programmed to execute a sequence of up to 16 combined function key values (macros). This allows for custom button combinations to be triggered with a single press.
To program a macro:
- Press the "Set" key (located on the back of the controller).
- Press the PL or PR key you wish to program.
- Input the sequence of buttons (A/B/X/Y/L/R/Cross Key/LT/LB/RT/RB) you want to record.
- Press the "Set" key again to save the macro.
The programmed macro will now execute when you press the assigned PL or PR key.
