Carefully remove the watch from its packaging. Inspect the watch for any visible damage. The watch comes in a protective box.

2. Awhiowhio Tuatahi

As an automatic watch, it is powered by the motion of your wrist. However, for initial setup or after a period of inactivity, it is recommended to manually wind the watch.

The watch comes with a leather strap. Adjust the buckle to a comfortable fit on your wrist. The strap should be snug but not overly tight, allowing for proper air circulation and comfort.

Te whakarite i te Wa me te Ra:

  1. Tautuhia te Wa: Pull the crown out to Position 2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands. Set the time to approximately 6:00 AM to avoid damaging the date mechanism during date changes. The seconds hand will stop, allowing for precise time setting.
  2. Tautuhia te Rā me te Rā: Push the crown in to Position 1. Rotate the crown clockwise to adjust the date. Rotate the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the day of the week (weekly calendar).
  3. Final Time Adjustment: Pull the crown out to Position 2 again. Advance the time past 12:00 PM (noon) if necessary, observing when the date and day change to ensure AM/PM is correctly set. Set the exact current time.
  4. Pēhia te Karauna ki roto: Once the time, date, and day are set, push the crown fully back into Position 0.

Hiranga: Avoid setting the date or day between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this is when the watch's internal mechanism is engaged in changing the date, and manual adjustment can cause damage.

Sun and Moon Subdial:

The subdial at the 6 o'clock position indicates AM/PM through a 24-hour display, showing a sun during the day and a moon during the night. This subdial automatically advances with the main time display.
