  1. Ensure your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) has Bluetooth enabled and is running the latest version of iOS/iPadOS/macOS.
  2. Open the "Find My" app on your iOS device.

  4. Tap the "+" icon and select "Add Other Item".
  5. Bring the ONVIS Smart Bluetooth Locator close to your iOS device. The device will be detected automatically.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to name your locator and assign an emoji.
  7. Confirm the pairing. Your ONVIS locator is now linked to your Apple ID and visible in the "Find My" app.

Finding Nearby Items

When your ONVIS locator is within Bluetooth range (up to 200 ft / 60 meters), you can use the "Find My" app to make it play a sound. This sound is loud (80-100 dB) to help you locate the item quickly.

  2. Select the "Items" tab.
  3. Tap on the ONVIS locator you wish to find.
  4. Tap "Play Sound". The locator will emit a loud sound until you tap "Stop Sound" or it is found.

You can also use Siri: Say "Hey Siri, find my [item name]" (e.g., "Hey Siri, find my keys").

Finding Far Away Items (Lost Mode)

If your item is out of Bluetooth range, the Apple "Find My" network can help locate it. This network leverages hundreds of millions of iOS devices worldwide to anonymously and securely relay the location of your ONVIS locator.

  1. Open the "Find My" app.
  2. Select the "Items" tab.
  3. Tap on the ONVIS locator you are looking for.
  4. Scroll down and enable "Lost Mode".
  5. Follow the prompts to enter a phone number or email address where you can be contacted if your item is found.
  6. You will receive a notification when your ONVIS locator is detected by another device on the "Find My" network.

Left Behind Alerts

Receive instant notifications on your iOS device if you leave your item behind. This feature helps prevent loss by alerting you when your ONVIS locator separates from your device.

  1. In the "Find My" app, select your ONVIS locator.
  2. Under "Notifications", enable "Notify When Left Behind".
  3. You can also set "Notify Me Except At" locations, such as your home, to avoid unnecessary alerts.
