4. Tatūnga

4.1 Te horoi tuatahi

  1. Unpack the grill and all accessories. Remove any packaging materials.
  2. Horoia te waho o te tunutunu me te panuiamp kakahu.
  3. Remove the cooking plates (grill or waffle plates) by pressing the plate release buttons.
  4. Wash the cooking plates and the drip tray in warm, soapy water, or place them in a dishwasher. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  5. Re-install the desired cooking plates, ensuring they click securely into place.

4.2 Plate Installation

To install or change plates:

  1. Ensure the grill is unplugged and cool.
  2. Locate the plate release buttons on the side of the grill.
  3. Press the release button for the plate you wish to remove. The plate will slightly lift.
  4. Carefully lift the plate out.
  5. To install a new plate, align it with the slots and press down until it clicks into place. Ensure both plates are securely fastened before use.

5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere

5.1 Mahi Whanui

  1. Plug the grill into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Pēhia te pātene hiko hei whakakā i te taputapu.
  3. Select your desired cooking mode or manual settings using the control panel.
  4. Allow the grill to preheat. The indicator light will signal when it's ready.
  5. Place food on the cooking plates.
  6. Monitor cooking progress and remove food when done.
  7. Unplug the grill after use and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

5.2 Sear Function (280°C)

The Sear function heats the plates up to 280°C, ideal for creating a perfect crust on steaks and other meats. This function automatically stops after a set period (e.g., 90 seconds) to prevent overheating.

5.3 Smart Programs and Manual Mode

The grill offers 6 preset programs for common foods: Hamburger, Chicken, Steak, Sausage, Fish, and Panini. These programs automatically adjust cooking time and temperature. A manual mode allows for custom temperature (80-230°C) and time (0.5-99 minutes) settings. A defrost function is also available.

5.4 Te Waahanga Pawera

Insert the integrated temperature probe into the thickest part of the meat to monitor its internal temperature in real-time. This ensures precise cooking results, preventing under or overcooking.

5.5 180° Open Grill Function

The grill can open 180 degrees to provide a larger, flat cooking surface. In this mode, both cooking zones can be controlled independently, allowing you to cook different foods simultaneously at different temperatures.

5.6 5-Level Height Adjustment

Adjust the top plate to one of five height settings to accommodate various food thicknesses. This prevents crushing delicate items like paninis or vegetables while ensuring even cooking.

6. Tiaki me te Whakapai

  2. Remove the drip tray and empty any collected grease. Wash the drip tray in warm, soapy water.
  3. Remove the cooking plates as described in Section 4.2.
  4. The non-stick grill plates and waffle plates are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them by hand with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Use the included spatula to scrape off stubborn food residues.

  6. Never immerse the main unit (with electrical components) in water or any other liquid.
