Please read all instructions carefully before installing or operating your Sonance MAG6R speakers. Retain this manual for future reference.
- Haumaru Hiko: Ensure all power to audio equipment is turned off before making any connections. Improper wiring can cause damage to your equipment or personal injury.
- Tāutatanga: Installation should be performed by qualified personnel if you are unsure about any steps. Ensure the mounting surface can safely support the weight of the speakers.
- Te whakahaere: Kia tūpato te pupuri i ngā kaikōrero. Kaua e tukua kia taka, kia kaua hoki e pāngia e te kaha.
- Taiao: Do not expose speakers to excessive moisture, extreme temperatures, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

3.1 Te Whakanohonga Kaikorero
For optimal audio performance, consider the following:
- Tatūnga Tirohanga: Place speakers equidistant from the primary listening position and spaced appropriately for a wide soundstage.
- Oro Karapoti: For surround applications, refer to your audio receiver's manual for recommended speaker placement relative to the listening area.
- Hanganga tuanui: Ensure there are no obstructions (e.g., studs, pipes, electrical wires) in the desired mounting location.
3.2 Te Whakapiki i nga Kai-korero
The Sonance MAG6R speakers are designed for flush mounting in ceilings.
- Whakaritea te whakatuwheratanga: Using the provided template (if included, otherwise measure carefully), mark the desired cutout area on the ceiling. Carefully cut the opening using a drywall saw or similar tool.
- Whakahaere Waea Tukuoro: Araia te waea kaikorero kounga teitei mai i tō amplifier/receiver to each speaker opening. Leave sufficient slack for connections.
- Tūhono Waea: Strip approximately 1/2 inch (12mm) of insulation from the speaker wire ends. Connect the positive (+) terminal of the speaker to the positive (+) terminal of the ampte pūoko hiko, me te pito kino (-) o te kaikorero ki te pito kino (-) o te amplifier. Ensure a secure connection and no stray wire strands.
- Whakauruhia te Kaikōrero: Carefully insert the speaker into the ceiling opening. The mounting clamps will automatically engage as the speaker is pushed into place.
- Kaikōrero Haumaru: Tighten the mounting screws (usually located on the front baffle) until the speaker is firmly secured to the ceiling. Do not overtighten.
- Tāpirihia te Matapihi: The magnetic grille can now be gently placed onto the speaker baffle. It will snap into position. The grille is paintable to match your ceiling decor.

4. Mahi
Once installed and connected to your amplifier or receiver, operating the Sonance MAG6R speakers is straightforward:
- Whakahiko: Hurihia to amplifier/receiver and select the appropriate audio input.
- Whakaritea Rōrahi: Start with the volume at a low level and gradually increase it to your desired listening level.
- Puna Ororongo: Play audio from your chosen source (e.g., music player, TV, streaming device).
The Sonance MAG6R speakers are designed to deliver clear, balanced audio for various applications, from background music to home theater surround sound.
5. Tiaki
The Sonance MAG6R speakers require minimal maintenance.
- Te horoi: To clean the grilles or speaker frame, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Te peita tunutunu: If you choose to paint the grilles, ensure you use a thin coat of paint and avoid clogging the perforations, which could affect sound quality.
- Tirotiro: Periodically check speaker connections to ensure they remain secure.
6. Te Raru
If you encounter issues with your Sonance MAG6R speakers, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Kore Oro:
- Tirohia ko to amplifier/receiver is powered on and the correct input is selected.
- Verify all speaker wire connections at both the speaker and the amplifier are secure and correctly polarized (+ to +, - to -).
- Me whakarite te amplifier's volume is not set to minimum or muted.
- Oro korikori:
- Whakaitihia te taumata oro i runga i to amplifier/receiver. Overdriving the speakers can cause distortion.
- Check speaker wire connections for any loose strands that might be shorting.
- Me whakarite kia kore te puna ororongo e whakakorikoria.
- Kotahi Kaikōrero Kaore i te Mahi:
- Whakawhitihia ngā waea kaikorero i te amplifier for the non-working speaker with a known working speaker's wires. If the problem moves, the issue is with the amplifier or wiring. If the problem stays with the speaker, the speaker itself may be faulty.
- Inspect the speaker wire for damage along its length.
