2. Tatūnga

2.2 Te Whakahiko me te Whakataki
- To power on the device, press and hold the Power Button located on the side until the BOOX logo appears.
- For initial use, it is recommended to fully charge the device. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the device's USB-C port and the other end to a compatible power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The battery indicator will show charging status.
2.3 Whakauru Kaari SIM
The Palma2 Pro features a hybrid SIM card slot, supporting either dual SIM cards or a single SIM card with expandable storage.

3.2 Display and Reading
The device features a 6.13-inch Kaleido 3 color ePaper display. The resolution is 824 x 1648 (300ppi) for black and white content and 412 x 824 (150ppi) for color content. It includes a front light with CTM (Color Temperature Management) for adjustable warm and cold lighting.

3.3 Hononga
The Palma2 Pro supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless connectivity. The hybrid SIM card slot allows for cellular data connection (data-only SIM) and A-GPS for location services.
3.4 Document and App Management
The device supports a wide range of document and image formats:

The Palma2 Pro offers extensive customization options:
- BOOX EinkWise Settings: Adjust refresh mode (HD, Speed), color mode (Optimal, Vivid, Custom), and layout for different applications.
- Smart Button Functions: Customize the actions for short-press, double-click, and long-press of the smart button.
- Wāhitau Mata Kāinga: Add and arrange widgets on your home screen for quick access to information and apps.
- Front Light Presets: Seamlessly switch between different front light modes (Bright, Soft, Custom, Auto, Off) and adjust brightness and color temperature.

3.7 Stylus Support
The Palma2 Pro is compatible with the InkSense Plus stylus (sold separately). This allows for note-taking and other interactive functions, effectively turning your device into a memo pad.

Adjusting the front light (warm and cold) can improve readability. If the screen appears too dark, ensure the front light is enabled and adjusted to a suitable level.
