This device is designed to expand your display capabilities, allowing you to connect two external monitors to your USB-C enabled laptop, PC, or compatible smartphone. It supports various display modes and resolutions to enhance your productivity and viewte wheako.

Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper setup and operation.

2.1 Nga waahanga matua

• Putanga HDMI Takirua: Connects two monitors for extended or mirrored display.
• Taumira teitei: Supports up to 4K@60Hz for single HDMI output and 4K@30Hz for dual HDMI output.

3. Aratohu Tatūnga

3.1 Whakaritenga Hototahi

For optimal functionality, ensure your host device (laptop, PC, smartphone) meets the following criteria:

• Tauranga USB-C: Must be compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4, USB 3.0/3.1, or above.
• DP ALT Mode Support: The USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP ALT Mode) for video output.
• Incompatible Ports: This adapter will NOT work with USB-C ports designated solely for data transmission, power delivery only, or data + power delivery without DP ALT Mode.

3.2 Nga Waahi Hononga

The adapter is designed for plug-and-play operation:

1. Connect the USB-C male connector of the adapter to a compatible USB-C port on your laptop, PC, or smartphone.
2. Connect your HDMI monitors to the HDMI output ports on the adapter using HDMI 2.0 (19+1 pin) cables (recommended length not exceeding 3m/9.8 feet).
3. If needed, connect your USB-C power adapter to the USB-C PD port on the adapter to charge your host device.
4. Connect any USB peripherals (e.g., mouse, keyboard, USB drive) to the USB-A port on the adapter.

The adapter supports different display modes depending on your operating system:

4.1 Pūnaha Matapihi

• Extended Mode (MST): Supports both ABB mode (laptop display A, external monitors B and B showing the same extended content) and ABC mode (laptop display A, external monitor B, and external monitor C showing different extended content).
• Mirrored Mode (SST): All displays (laptop and external monitors) show the same content.

4.2 Mac OS Systems

• Extended Mode (ABB): Supports ABB mode (laptop display A, both external HDMI outputs display the same extended picture). Does NOT support MST ABC mode (extending to 2 different screens on 2 external monitors).
• Mirrored Mode (SST): All displays (laptop and external monitors) show the same content.
• Note for Mac M1/M2/M3 Chips: If connecting to a Mac with M1, M2, or M3 chips, it only supports a single HDMI output and cannot support output to 2 HDMI monitors simultaneously.

4.3 Android and Other OS Systems

• Only screen mirroring (SST) is supported.

5. Resolution Support

• Single HDMI Output: Maximum resolution up to 4K@60Hz.
• Putanga HDMI Takirua: Maximum resolution for both monitors is 4K@30Hz simultaneously.
• Taunakitanga: For stable signal transmission, use HDMI 2.0 (19+1 pin) cables with a length not exceeding 3m/9.8 feet.

6. Te Raru

• Only 1 monitor display, second monitor blurry:
  Firstly, ensure you are using an HDMI 2.0 cable, and its length does not exceed 3m. Then, set the input source resolution to 1080P@60Hz to check if it displays correctly.
• Product not working on laptop USB-C port:
  Please make sure that your USB-C port supports DP ALT mode or video output. If not, this product will not work on that device.
• How to set extended mode on Windows system:
  Select 'Settings' on laptop -> 'System' (Display, Sound, Notifications, Power) -> 'Display' -> 'Multiple displays' -> 'Extend these displays'. If the display is not detected, manually select 'Detect' and then 'Apply'.
• How to switch from 'mirror display' to 'extended ABB mode' on Mac OS system:
  Select 'Settings' -> 'Display' -> Click the 'Mirror display' box to switch to extended mode. Drag the window of document/video/website to the rightmost side of the desktop screen until it disappears on the external monitor screen.
