After replacing the filter, press and hold the filter reset button (often the power button or a specific button marked with a filter icon) for 3 to 5 seconds. The indicator light should blink or turn off, and a beep may sound to confirm the reset.
A red light indicates poor air quality or that the dust sensor is blocked. If the air in the room is clean, try cleaning the sensor lens on the side of the unit with a cotton swab or vacuuming the intake. If the filter is old, it may need replacement.
